JAY CHATZKEL: ARIZONA

My home is in New River, Arizona, just north of Phoenix, and one of the most beautifully diverse places in the world.  Its ever-changing light, unique creatures, and Sonoran Desert Landscape inspire me every day.

As a commercial photographer, I use both imagery and language to present the story of people, places, and things.  My background is in writing as well as photography.  That has led me to the kind of storytelling where “words and pictures together communicate more powerfully than either alone.” *

Storytelling is at the core of my travel and lifestyle photography, but it is equally important in my product photography.  Each image needs to paint a memorable picture and strike a chord that resonates for the viewer.  That story becomes a brand.  And that brand is what you as a person, your offerings, and your business are seen to be about.  My job is to bring that “brand” out through visuals and language.
