I know and feel that the world around me is full of beautiful textures, colors, and compositions. But I walk outside in the noonday sun and it all seems so drab, so usual, and so boring. Where is all that beauty?

 

But then, the clouds come out, it starts to rain. The flowers in the neighbors garden now have listening droplets, glowing from the sun peeking through the clouds. The sunsets, the lights go on, and all those bricks are suddenly alive with warm light and cool shadow, their texture comes alive. The next time I walk outside, I see those flowers, those bricks, and I remind myself what they really look like.

 

But the story isn’t over. In the studio, I try to do the same, revealing the beauty that surrounds using what we wear, what we eat and drink, and what we use to read ramblings such as this. With every picture that I create, I connect to more and more of the beauty that surrounds me. My career is a journey, connecting to the beauty of the world, picture by picture until the whole world lights up around me.
